How can I control my hair or learn to like my hair.?

Ok my hair is thick and wavy. There are some natural curls underneath too. My hair has long layers in it and come just below my shoulders. I know that i should never have it short because it will go poofy. So im growing it. But i always have the temptation to straighten it so I can have it down. I really can't straighten it anymore otherwise it will go dry. I think I should learn to get used to my natural hair. I would really like to keep it down all the time and not tie it up. So any tips.

How can I control my hair or learn to like my hair.?

my daughters hair is just like yours and she loves her hair now(usted to hate it) but we went to the beauty shop and had it layerd then straightned with a hot iron straightner we bought a good one it was about 75.00 now she does it herself but it helped for the beautition to show her how be sure to go to a beauty supply store and buy shampoo and conditoner that doesnt have achocal(mispelled) in it like so soft thats one brand also a protectent for straighting so you dont damage your hair and be sure to not leave the straightner on your hair too long just slide down hair several times NOT slow ones you dont want to burn your hair just keep going threw your hair and it should be soft and sleek if you want to wear it curley just wash

How can I control my hair or learn to like my hair.?

i have the same problem you do... what i did is first i got a perm so that when i couldnt do anything with my hair, i could wear it curly. then, i started working on my damaged hair. start off by doing the hot oil treatments (they work wonders!). then buy the suave sleek line and use it every night. it will make your hair soft and not so dry at the ends. now i buy straightening repair lotion. you smooth it on your hair before you straighten and it doesnt harm your hair. i do all of that every day except the hot oil. (i did that until my hair was in better shape. now i only do it once a month or so) my hair is straight, shiny, and soft and i can fix it!

How can I control my hair or learn to like my hair.?

what i would do is get the middle section thinned out. keep the lenght on the top layers and keep the actual lenght.then for styling i would straighten the fringe and scrunch in some leave-in conditioner to the rest

How can I control my hair or learn to like my hair.?

I know exactly how you feel! I have extremely curly hair and it frizzes like crazy sometimes, so I have to put so much gel in it since it's so thick. Some days I love my curls, but for the most part I hate them. I still haven't found a way to make my curls look spectacular except to add some hair accessories like a cute headband or something.

I, however, do straighten my hair a lot. So if you do decide to do that, use a moisturizing shampoo everyday. That will help keep your hair from drying out from the straightener. I use tresemme mosturizing shampoo and conditioner and it works really well!

Good luck! And remember people pay a ton of money to get hair like ours!

Dying over Bleached Hair?

This year ive dyed my hair Black, Purple, Red, Darkbrown, Lightbrown and a Chocolate Brown (not at the hair dressers)

About 4 weeks ago, i bleached the top layers of my hair, and some of it worked but other parts turned yellow and orange. I got in trouble at school for having 2 toned hair and i need to change it. I hate going to the hair dressers and i wanna dye it myself. if i put just like black do-it-yourself hair dye in will it work? im not worried about my drying out because its naturaly very oily and the peroxide didnt stop it from being oily so i think its ok.

Dying over Bleached Hair?

Yes it will, black is a really strong colour for hair dyes...and I think even dark brown would work (only for permanent ones, not temporary).

Dying over Bleached Hair?

your hair may be oily now but as you get older it will become over processed and dry. try using garnier hair color, it should work

Dying over Bleached Hair?

Yes, as long as the color you use is permanent.

Any brand will do as hair dyes contain virtually the same ingredients.

Anyone knows about hair extensions? & hair regrowth?

I had a very bad experience with these and was wondering if anyone had been through something similar in regard to hairloss due to extensions. Mine seems as though it is slowly recovering but I am 20 years old and wonder how long it will truly take to get back to the way that it was. The outer layer of my hair was basically unnaffected (aside from the ends) while the inner layers are now short and rather sparse. I do not have any bald spots. I was wondering if someone went through something similar and how long it tooked for them to notice that their hair was recovering. Did you eventually get your texture back? What did you do in the meantime?

Anyone knows about hair extensions? %26amp; hair regrowth?

If your hair is falling out after extensions its probably due to the way they were put in, if they were sewn in the tracks were too tight and if glued it may be an allergic reaction. Whatever the case a gentle shampoo (something for colored hair is the best.) and a weekly cholesterol treatment will work miracles, if you can't find cholesterol mayo is the home remedy. After shampooing your hair apply the cholesterol(or mayo) and put a plastic shower cap over it, let it set for thirty to forty-five minutes then rinse (*if you use mayo you will want to lightly shampoo after as well as before.) Your hair will improve within weeks and you should see length differences within a month. Vitamins do help, but try not to wash your hair every day (this strips your hair of the natural vitamins it is already supplied.) ***Pantene of any kind is not a good idea, it has high alcohol agents which dry out your hair and cause it to break, also stay away from citrus products which do the same thing. Really hope this helps!

Anyone knows about hair extensions? %26amp; hair regrowth?

this happened to me too...it will grow back at the normal hair growth rate...my hair was actually thicker when it grew back in...i did decide to cut it short though because of the unevenness of it...

Anyone knows about hair extensions? %26amp; hair regrowth?

Hair extensions are terrible if you get cheap european/indian hair. I had them for prom and that was IT! They itch ... are terrible to wash ... and come loose if you brush too hair (mine were sew in). I hair problems for the past four years b/c I dyed it too much. Dying my hair left me with anything but beautiful results. My hair started breaking off, drying up, and getting gum like if I would dye it again. My suggestion to you is to get regular trims every eight weeks. I've been doing it for over six months and I have beautiful healthy hair again. I have almost all of my natural color back too.

You also should do a deep conditioning treatment everyday. Pantene Restoratives will help you out with that. The one I use is designed to repair two years of damage in one month. It really works.

Hope this helps.

Anyone knows about hair extensions? %26amp; hair regrowth?

damaged hair grows slower than healthy hair. hair grows on average of 1 cm a month and faster in the summer or warmer months of the year. you may want to start taking prenatal vitamins to speed your hair growth and make it stronger and fuller.

i never had hair extensions but i burned a part of my hair right off my scalp. yeah........it took 3 months or so to start looking better. but your hair will grow back. dont stress, massage your scalp and wash it with organic shampoo and take your vitamins. you might end up with better hair than before...:)

Why cant my hair stop falling?

my hair keep on falling every seconds but the weird thing is it doesn't leave any effect like getting bald or something like that b'coz my hair is like totally full but keep on falling that i need to clean my room like everyday...

and my hair is really really really dark brown [natural hair color], long and layered...

it's not that long it's just right beneath my shoulder and above my chest...

i'm using the L'Oreal shampoo and conditioner...

Why cant my hair stop falling?

Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems. It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of a cycle of growing new hairs and loosing some. Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Why cant my hair stop falling?

there is a skin disease where your skin is really kind of flakey and your hair falls out. Hair lose can be caused by many diffrent reasons, it can even be caused by an internal disfunction. If it gets worse see a doctor.

Why cant my hair stop falling?

usually when ur iron level is low, hair fall doen, or when u r in your periods

Why cant my hair stop falling?

Eat more protein. I had that problem too and i eat walnuts and cashews and things like that for snack every now and then and lots of protein in meals.

Helped me a ton.

Why cant my hair stop falling?

Need some more info to know why this could be happening. Like have you had a baby in the past few months or have you started a new medication?

Why cant my hair stop falling?

i have the same problem- but its supposedly healthy to 100 peices of hair a day, but if you have thick hair it shouldn't be a problem

Why cant my hair stop falling?

There is an over the counter hair vitamin sold at GNC called Bioten. That might help.

Does anyone know how to cut their own hair in layers?

Yes, I do it all the time. Take all of your hair and put it into a ponytail on the very top of your head, so that it's sticking straight up in the air. Then take sharp scissors and cut it straight across. Start by taking off a little...then let your hair down and see how much more you want to take off. Pile your hair back up on top of your head...keep doing that until you get the desired length.

Does anyone know how to cut their own hair in layers?

pull your hair into a ponytail at the WAYY top of your head. pull the ponytail straight up and cut a little off the top to make it even.

Does anyone know how to cut their own hair in layers?

Well... you take one strip of hair and cut it. You take another strip and cut it a different length. And so on and so on.

Does anyone know how to cut their own hair in layers?

oh dear :)

don't cut your hair yourself if you don't know what you're doing.

you'll ef it up.

Hair Help Plz!!?

I have long layers in my hair. the first 3 inches at the top of my hair is light brown and it mixes good with my dirty blonde from there to the tips . Is there a good hair cut I could get to keep my hair staight ? I am getting blonde highlights too , so pleas tell me things that will look good with it . ( i do not want to use a straightenr everyday )Pics would help lots! THANKS :)

Hair Help Plz!!?

Well getting a hair cut cant keep your hair straight, but what i would recommend to keep it straight and not have to straighten it everyday is thermal reconditioning, hair straightening and hair relaxing (chemical) these can all be damaging to your hair! So be careful when getting these done!

Hair Help Plz!!?

I have the same thing. You don't need to straiten it everyday. I think blonde highlights would look good! Srry, don't have pics! :(

What would be a good short hair cut for straight hair?

I have long brown hair and kind of a long skinny face, and i want a hair cut, its layered and a little past my shoulders and I havent had one since August and I have no split ends. Also do guys like shorter hair?

What would be a good short hair cut for straight hair?

I agree w/ the first answer. A bob would be really sleek.

FYI, bangs cut straight across will make your face look a little wider and balance out the length. Side swept bangs generally add length.

Check out http://www.visual-makeover.com/face.htm and www.matrix.com for more ideas.

What would be a good short hair cut for straight hair?

From my own experiances i have found that guys like longer hair. I would suggest not getting your hair cut but if you are determined try some kind of bob. such as an angles bob that angles in toward your face

What would be a good short hair cut for straight hair?

Well first of all im not being mean or rude or anything but why does it matter what guys think of your hair do what your want with it. I think you should change it up and go for a shorter cut like a chin length bob would be cute or a shoulder length cute with lots of layers and side bangs.

What would be a good short hair cut for straight hair?

Long- pin straight hair makes your face look even longer than it is. Try going with bangs that are a little (like 1 cm.) below your eye-brow for a sexy yet conservative look. Lucky you, you don't have split ends, so your hair could probably endure some styling if done correctly. Be aware that short hair cuts are harder to maintain than long cuts, since short hair may need some blowdrying and up keep, although it's well worth it. A shoulder length cut could probably go along with two to three layers just to add some class and originality. Hope I helped %26amp; Good luck!

I want my hair to grow longer and faster!!!PLEASE HELP?

On an average hair on the head grows at the rate of approximately 0.5 mm daily. This rate of growth also depends on genetic factors, diet, lifestyle and age of the person. While it may not be possible to have long hair overnight, you can use home remedies to make your hair grow faster. Some of the home remedies are:

1. Hair is made up of protein, so eat foods which contain plenty of protein like fish, eggs, liver, milk products, yeast, wheat germ, sprouts, beans, nuts and yoghurt. Soy protein which is found in tofu also helps.

2. Since hair reflects the overall health of a person, vitamin supplements or fresh food containing the vitamins should be part of the daily diet. Vitamin B complex, biotin and carotene (contained in carrots, yellow fruits and vegetable) are important.

3. Hot oil massages improve the circulation of blood in the scalp and make your hair grow faster. Coconut oil should be applied to the hair for at least an hour so that it is absorbed properly and then washed off. Castor oil can also be used.

4. Trim your hair often, at least once in 5-6 weeks, so that split ends and dry hair are removed. Hair stops growing at the split ends.

5. Apply egg white and neem to your hair. Wash after 3 hours. Alternately, mix eggs and olive oil and apply the mixture to your scalp.

6.Brushing your hair once in the morning and evening improves the circulation in the scalp and makes your hair grow faster. Massaging the scalp with your fingertips also helps improve circulation.

7. Do not blow dry your hair. If possible wash your hair only once a week, with cold water since hot water and harsh shampoos can damage the hair.

8. Drink plenty of water and sleep for 8 - 9 hours a day, since hair grows when a person is resting. Exercising daily will also improve the blood circulation and help your hair grow quickly. Hair grows faster when there is less stress.

Note:-I think u should be happy with the hair u have becoz u said that ur hair is really thick. If u do the above said,u may be able to grow faster, but never get upset if it is not working. If u are tensed then i am sure u will loose hair.It always depends on heridity, genes u have.So be happy always, don't always think of hair.U should divert ur mind to other subjects.

Winter Dances...hair and make up help?

Okay. so on Friday our school has a dance with our brother school [its a big deal since i go to all-girl private] and I was wondering, how should I do my hair and make up?

Here's the facts:

I'm a Brunette, hazel eyes, tan skin, my hair is in layers [with side bangs].

How should I do my hair?

How should I do my makeup? (Like what colors for the eyeshadow, gloss, blush, mascara, eyeliner etc...)

Thanks.

[[Catherine]]

Winter Dances...hair and make up help?

black eyeliner or if u dont wear eyeliner use a brown shadow under ur eye, use mascara on both lashes, brown eyeshadow and near the lash line use the same colour of what u r gunna wear, light pink lipgloss, and pink blush

for hair if ur hair is medium-long curl it with a curling iron if its short use a flat iron so its pin straight

hope this helpss

Winter Dances...hair and make up help?

With your hair, I agree with AmandaX.....Except I would get a cute hair pin that is either crystal or has a tiny bit of color in it that matches what your wearing and pin one side of your hair back just a little bit, Not all the way to your ear. For makeup, I would wear black eyeliner close to the lashline on the top lashes and smudge it in. (your eyes will pop with color more if you don't do the bottom lashes cause that makes your eyes look really small) For eyeshadow I'd either use a light silver or pearl color from the lashline to the brow bone. (not too heavy) and whatever color your dress is, put that color just from the lashline to the crease of your eye. Black mascara wouldlook really good with hazel eyes. If you put it on your bottom lashes, I would not do it really heavy cause it will make you look like a old woman lol. The lipgloss that I live by and looks really good at christmas time is put out by "bon bons" It is silver looking in the tube but comes out like glittery. Its cheap but so cute! The blush is up to you. Pinkish colors would be really cute. Remember that for dances expecially at Christmas time or New years looks cute with a little bit of glitter. Think of snow, not colored glitter! LOL Hope this helps some.

Winter Dances...hair and make up help?

Catherine~

do your hair first. since you are a brunette w/ side bangs and layers i think you should just twist up the top - have side swept bangs and put it in a high ponytail.

then make-up. when you are a brunette you should have black mascara with black eyeliner or green - all depends on your outfit. since hazel eyes you should have gold or silver or blue or pink eyeshadow with a little shimmer/glitter. since you have darker skin you wont have to wear foundation. you have beautiful skin and you dont really have to darken it. maybe a light pink shimmery lipgloss. and a light pink or peachy blush. so if you do blush no body will tell!!

Well, Catherine. Thats all the answers i have for you!!

Good Luck, Hun!! %26amp; Have Fun!! %26lt;33

How to control really thick medium-coarse curly hair?

I have extremely thick, curly hair that is medium to coarse in texture due to my Greek heritage.

My hair is in layers so the issue is not volume, but shape. My ringlets always seem to separate by the end of the day, leaving me with a messy frizz look.

I've tried several Garnier products for curly hair, but they just make my hair look greasy and does nothing to control the poofy-ness; moreover, the Bedhead products make my hair feel really brittle. Finally, I'm allergic to Pantene because my scalp always feels like a swarm of fire ants has attacked me after using their products.

Currently, I'm using gel from Tresemme for curly hair but it doesn't seem to keep my ringlets in shape for long. Is there any other product out there that anyone recommends? Should I be using a gel or mousse? Thank you so much!

PS I do not straighten my hair or use a hair dryer.

How to control really thick medium-coarse curly hair?

The problem is that you're using inferior products. I also have long, curly hair and it's important to use a very reputable product specialized for your particular texture. Your hair needs lots of moisture because of it's thickness and courseness, as well as a product to control the curl because you don't want to straighten/blow dry.

The best product you can get for curly hair is Kerastase Oleo-Curl Range (see here: http://www.kerastase-usa.com/_en/_us/con... ). Of course there's no need to buy everything, but purchasing the shampoo and curl definiton oil will keep your curls looking healthy and moisturized. Unfortunately, curls tend to look dry, brittle, split or frizzy when they're not given large doses of moisture. I've used every brand you mentioned except for Tresemme as well as many others and this is the best line I've come across, and it's been recommended by every major hair stylist.

Another product I'd highly recommend is the Phyto Phytodefrisant Botanical Hair Relaxing Balm (see here: http://www.amazon.com/Phyto-Phytodefrisa... ). This product is free of chemicals (so it won't strip your hair of any moisture or cause any product-related damage). You simply apply it to damp hair and wait for it to dry. It straightens hair and gives it shine. Losing some of the curl might be the best way to keep your hair looking polished and sleek during the day.

Hope this helps :).

How to control really thick medium-coarse curly hair?

My hair is a lot like yours so I'll tell ya what I use.

I use Suave Sleek (knock-off of Matrix) shampoo and conditioner on my hair. They actually work better than the Matrix version for me. I do however use the Matrix Biolage gelee. It doesn't take a lot of it to keep my hair under control all day. No frizz, and no sticky residue.

Two Toned Hair? Ideas Please....?

Okay so i have medium brown hair and i was thinking of getting it dyed like dark blond on the bottom and keeping it dark on top. would this look good? I dont like one toned hair, to me its boring... What can i do to add some dimension to my hair? BTW my hair is long and layered.... Thank you all in advance... links and pics would be very helpful...

Two Toned Hair? Ideas Please....?

i think thats a good idea

Two Toned Hair? Ideas Please....?

well i think you should maybe die your hair black on the top and get another color on the bottom like blonde like you were saying [[ i have blonde and black two toned hair i like it alot ]]

or you could do like black with pink or red or purple underneath i like those colors with black

Two Toned Hair? Ideas Please....?

Looking for hair pictures? Medium, choppy, with layers?

So right now my hair is around three or four inches below my shoulders, and I want at LEAST an inch taken off. I am looking for a very choppy, shaggy hairstyle with LOTS of layers.

I have bangs too, so if there are bangs in the pictures that would be awesome. Thank you SO much!

Do you have to schedule a hair appointment?

ok so like i want to get a haircut but does that mean i have to schedule an appointment?because i was just thinkin of just walking inside a hair salon and then go to the next available hair styler.so yahh im just worried my hair wont look nice bcause its not done by "professionals" plus i want my hair to be layered and have side swept bangs. any advice?

Do you have to schedule a hair appointment?

Most hairdressers that are established and good you need to make an appointment ....

Good Luck ~~~

Do you have to schedule a hair appointment?

Most low-cost places don't require an appointment. However, a nicer place, which will cost more and do a better job, will probably require appointments. It may be worth it to make the appointment.

Do you have to schedule a hair appointment?

If you are going to a place like hot cuts, no appointment necessary. If you are going to a salon, yes you need to call and make an appointment.

Do you have to schedule a hair appointment?

Honestly, most salons with a good reputation and large clientele only will have space for you if you have an appointment. You can find a "walk-in" space, but it may not happen.

Also, you can try to book an appointment the same day you call. I've done that before, but I would still suggest calling a few days in advance.

Do you have to schedule a hair appointment?

if you're going to a normal hairdresser, then i guess no appointment required, but if you're trying to go to big hair salons where you can get on 88db, you probably have to fix an appointment to have your hair cut, you can also go for hair styling and treatment services

Styling Tips For Heavy/Dull Hair?

For a long time now, my hair has been completely annoying me. I've used many products in the past, hair wax, paste, gel, mousse, hairspray, but none seem to work to what I want.

Recently I've been using Paul Mitchell Dry Wax and adding on hairspray, but when I get back from school, it falls back to my normal hair where the bangs and everything go straight down.

My hair is straight, black, layered, and around the length of the picture shown below. (Left guy)

The hair I want is this. (The guy on the left)

http://cdn.channel.aol.com/aolr/jonas-br...

Anyone know any tips on what product would be best to achieve that look and hold it for around 5 hours to a whole day?

Its been bugging me that my hair can't do anything.

Styling Tips For Heavy/Dull Hair?

Wash you hair once a week with clarifying shampoo. The gunk can build up and make it hard to style. I'm no hair expert, but if your hair is anything like mine, then youre gonna find it hard. Is it slick and heavy? Then you're gonna have to ask a stylist. I'm filipino, and my hair is straight and black and thick and I can't do anything with it. So, when you find out what works (you might need to cut your hair shorter) let me know!:))

What kind of hair cut?

Professional hair stylists ...?

Should a professional hairstylest be able to strip dark brown dyed hair to the regrowth color (blondish/verylight brown) if time and money is not a concern for the client ?

I origanallly wanted to get those neat highlights over the top layer of my hair the way the kids are doing it these days, but NOT so perfectly placed or chunky, but my regrowth is coming in and I don't really want to dye it dark any more and I figured a professional would be able to blend the three somehow (the regrowth, old dark hair, and new light highlights) To make a slow progression that eventually will work its way lighter and lighter "over years" to something more resembleing my natural color. This one hair dresser said it may look strange, and I said well then I should I strip my hair to my regrowth and then maybe do highlights, she said it would never be the same color as the regrowth and said I should just cut it, So is she just not confident in her own skills and I should keep looking or what?

Professional hair stylists ...?

There should be someone who can do that for you. You definitely don't have to cut it, but you definitely have to color it and highlight again. Just seek a different salon that doesn't say they have to cut it.

Professional hair stylists ...?

it will go back 3 level only, otherwise you will need bleach and color closest to your natural color and highlights you should be able to get what ever you want

I had my naturally straight hair cut in horribly short layers - will it grow out straight again?

I have naturally straight, long, hair. As in, really straight, except for curving in(I'm pretty sure everyone's hair does that). Well, my barber just cut my hair really, really short, and now it's in ugly, super-short, choppy layers. Now it's sticking out(as in, curving out). Will my hair still grow straight when I grow it out?

I had my naturally straight hair cut in horribly short layers - will it grow out straight again?

Happened to me.

My hair went wavy.

I'm so sorry.

Don't go to that barber anymore.

Trust me its not worth the chance.

I now am forced to straighten my hair because my hair randomly curls in weird places and only does ringlet curls randomly in weird places, like one on the back and underneath + some random straightness.

I had my naturally straight hair cut in horribly short layers - will it grow out straight again?

Yep, my hair is stick straight, and my hair grew out straight again. Keep working with your short hairstyle, you might very used get accustomed to it

How should I wear my hair to my school's dance?

My school's having a dance on friday, and my hair ALWAYS looks the same. I have short, dark brown hair that's layered, and I wear it straight down and flat ironed every day.

Generally, it's too short to tie up, but does anyone know of some good hairstyles for putting up really short hair?

How should I wear my hair to my school's dance?

you should do 3 high pigtails. 1 on top and 2 on the sides. thatd b quite sexy

or just try a headband lol

How should I wear my hair to my school's dance?

try putting it in short low pigtails.

How should I wear my hair to my school's dance?

However you like it best, don't worry about what anyone else thinks.

How should I wear my hair to my school's dance?

The best option is to go to a hairstylist. They are always such a help. But if you cannot afford that then turn to your own curling iron and curl it in tight little curls then pin it up like in the middle with 3/4 bobby-pins

How should I wear my hair to my school's dance?

instead of parting it in the middle you should part it on the side and then hold it back the larger side with a super fancy, pretty clip. Kind of like Gwynie Paltrow did when she had a bob hair cut.

How should I wear my hair to my school's dance?

Head bands are in right now, so you could try out different ones. You could also flip the ends of your hair up with a curling iron or flat iron. Just do a little experimenting after school sometime this week before the dance. Good Luck!!

How should I wear my hair to my school's dance?

I understand where you are coming from. I wear my hair the same everyday as well. I have medium length curly hair but my Friends have hair similar to yours. They usually wear it pulled back in a poof.held with bobby pins which looks super cute. You should also try curling small sections of your hair with a curling iron. It would be very different from your usual and i guarantee you will get many complements. I hope you consider my advice and have fun at your dance. Good luck!

Thick,Long, naturally curly hair...HELP ME!?

I have possibly the thickest naturally curly hair. my hair is super thight curls in the front and loose waves in the back. my hair is log and layered and the back still does not curl like it should! I have tryed so many products! Im looking for somthing that will make my curls smoother, bigger and silky...

FYI: little frizz oils, like frizz-ez i have to use at least a half of a bottle to get anywhere near enough for my hair! so i count those out!

Does anyone know anything that could help me???

Balms,creams,ANYTHING!

also any suggeston on how to straighten it? Im a college cheerleader and the coach says its more uniform for my hair to be like everyone elses at games! I have had 4 girls with 4 chi irons come over and straighten it.... it took near 2 hours. ANY suggestions?

Thick,Long, naturally curly hair...HELP ME!?

Product is HUGE for you. You have to "hit" on the right combination for you. I have a couple suggestions that might work for you. Over the years I've had many clients with your type of hair, and yes, they ALL had a terrible time until they got the right combo and then the secret is to use enough product to work! Most people make the mistake of not using enough product in the hair to get the desired results. You HAVE to saturate the hair scalp to ends with a Leave-In Conditioner and then go over the top of it with a Defining Gel.

Two of my favorite lines that really help are:

1) Nioxin Smoothing Reflectives They have an entire part of their line that is for course/wavy/unruly hair. Silk Elixir is the Leave In, then go over the top with either Pure Shine Gel Or the Smoothing Gel (that one is pretty firm) I've had many clients that like that combination. The shampoo and conditioner that go with that does wonders to the feel of course/wavy/unruly hair. Makes it feel soft.

2) Aquage Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner or Hydrating Shampoo and Balm makes the hair soft and moisturized. Aquage Defining Gel is awesome for natural curl. Holds the curls together without feeling stiff and crunchy when dried. There is also a Smoothing Ultra Gel and a Defining Creme.

Both these product lines could give your hair a "silker" feel, but I'd definitely use the shampoo and conditioner that goes with it to get the full effect, it will make a huge difference other than trying to only use the styling products. For your hair type, MOISTURE is big too. You have to keep your hair properly moisturized. These two lines will help you do that, you just have to pick!

You MIGHT could try having a skilled stylist relax the front of your hair just a bit, enough to soften the curl so it might match a little closer to the back. I wouldn't try relaxing it all straight. Your hair will look better if you can embrace your curls and work with them instead of fighting them.

Good luck! I feel your pain! ;)

Thick,Long, naturally curly hair...HELP ME!?

Tell you cheer coach too bad. Trying to tame curly hair is like trying to make a black person look white. Not going to happen. We had a standard hair style we all had to have....a ponytail in the middle of the head.

All the chemicals, and appliances are going to make your hair look like straw...how is that "uniform".

Thick,Long, naturally curly hair...HELP ME!?

u can do a japanese straightening perm. however if your natural hair is really curly, tat probably wont last long. wat i suggest is for you to straighten only your bangs and leave the curls at the back, get your stylist to 'thin' your hair so that it wont be so puffy. after washing your hair, run some volume cream into it, twist your hair with your fingers and let it air dry. then spray silicone gloss. almost any brand out there has these. asian girls would kill for your hair since wavy hair is really big right now.

Thick,Long, naturally curly hair...HELP ME!?

to make your hair less frizzy and a better looking curly, usse redken frizz free product. as soon as you get out of the shower squeeze out of bottle and run through your hair evenly. then, blow dry your hair and use a diffuser, for 15-20 minutes.

to get your hair straight. brush wet hair as soon as you get out of the shower and bow dry it while brushing it straight. blow dry in small portions.

Thick,Long, naturally curly hair...HELP ME!?

To straighten your hair - while your hair is still wet, apply thermasilk straightening cream to your hair. Then, blowdry it until it's completely dry. Then take a very hot ceramic hair straightener and straighten it. This is how I do my cousin's hair that's VERY long and VERY curly.

Thick,Long, naturally curly hair...HELP ME!?

I think you should be proud of your hair, I know lots of girls with boring plain straight hair who wish they had curly hair like yours. Its pretty cool to be different, you'll get noticed! Don't fight with it, use a gel or mouse right after the shower, twist small sections and let it air dry. Don't touch it or wear a hat after the twisting.

Thick,Long, naturally curly hair...HELP ME!?

I have really curly, thick hair also! I've always wanted straight hair and finally have a style where I can go straight or super curly. I recommend getting your hair chemically straightened and have it cut/thinned...Aveda makes a nice, calm chemical straightener that wont' jack your hair up. Now, it won't make you straight, but it'll calm you down.

Next, use a good shampoo and conditioner to hydrate. I use Aveda's Brilliant Line. For styling (straight or curly) I swear by the Frederic Fekkai Olive Oil Glossing Creme (you can get this @ Sephora.com or at Victoria's Secret now).

If I'm going curly, I'll use an alcohol free gel, Brilliant from Aveda, and then to finish, Aveda's Brilliant Serum.

If I'm going straight, I'll blow dry my hair while brushing it downwards and then go over it with the straight iron, then, I finish with the Brilliant Serum. It takes me a little while to get through it, but it's worth it. All of these products go a long way because of the high quality, natural ingredients. I think getting your hair thinned out will make a world of difference, and you don't have to compromise with the length. You could also opt to have a pretty expensive and lengthy hair straightening process done, it's a Chinese process. Not sure of the technical name.

Can a person REALLY have 1/2 curly & 1/2 wavy hair, naturally?

I havent chemically straightened my hair for a some months and now the roots from the upper layer look really wavy but I THINK it's because the wavy part is just about two inches long, and the rest of the hair is about two and a half inches long so it can't curl properly. The bottom layer's straightened hair was cut so now that part is really really curly. I've been thinking of cutting the straightened hair so it'll be more uniform looking but somebody told me that I seem to have curly hair in the bottom layer and wavy in the top but I'm not sure if that's even possible!.

Can a person REALLY have 1/2 curly %26amp; 1/2 wavy hair, naturally?

my hair is like that.

Can a person REALLY have 1/2 curly %26amp; 1/2 wavy hair, naturally?

My hair is straight and wavy.

Can a person REALLY have 1/2 curly %26amp; 1/2 wavy hair, naturally?

Yes.

Can a person REALLY have 1/2 curly %26amp; 1/2 wavy hair, naturally?

yes! alot of ppl have that

Can a person REALLY have 1/2 curly %26amp; 1/2 wavy hair, naturally?

alot of people have hair like that.

Can a person REALLY have 1/2 curly %26amp; 1/2 wavy hair, naturally?

My Cousins hair is sort of lie that : )

Can a person REALLY have 1/2 curly %26amp; 1/2 wavy hair, naturally?

My hair is exactly like that -- it's curly in certain parts, wavy in others...there's even a few strands at the nape of my neck that are straight. It's definitely possible :)

How should i cut my hair next?

ok...my hair is shoulder length right now, it's long for me.....its on the thicker side...mainly straight with some nice wave to it. right now my hair is slighltly layered and i have 2 month old bangs that havent been trimmed.

now...i love to change my hair drastically each time..i'll try anything..i want it short, but not so i look like a boy...any ideas on what to ask my hair stylist for to make a statement/be edgy, but not anything toooooo crazy?

How should i cut my hair next?

I would look through some magazines and pick styles that most fit your hair type and the styles you are most interested in. I have combined styles from a couple of pictures to fit what my client wants and what she can work with the best. Don't be afraid to pick several different styles and ask if she can combine them for you...if that is what you want.

How should i cut my hair next?

get her to cut it chin-level, with jagged edges and a side part and side-swept bangs. also get her to thin it out quite a bit

How should i cut my hair next?

hm. it all depends on the shape of your face. if your face is like keira knightley, then i say go for a pixie cut just like hers. keep it girly. put gel through it to look fluffier, and you can accessorize by putting ascarf with it. if you don't like that, then i would say to do something you haven't done before. ever. look in hairstyle magazines. they always help. but i would focus more on the short hairstyle magazines. they always have something that you like. good luck! ~

How should i cut my hair next?

Hmm i cut mine into a 1920 hairstyle. Looks good.

How should i cut my hair next?

cut it really short and dye it balck with red tips

How should i cut my hair next?

I think you need to make up your mind. You want a drastic hair cut, but don't want it cut too short. Since you have shoulder length hair right now, a super short cut would be drastic, most anything else would just be a hair cut.

You don't have to worry about looking like a boy, if you accessorize. I went from a bob last month to a complete buzz cut and right now I'm shaving it once a week. Soon I'll get tired of it and let it grow out some, but not passed my shoulder.

To pull off a drastic look like mine, I make a point of wearing nice dresses and skirts almost all the time. Some cool ear rings will also give you a more feminine look. Doing a good job with your make-up is essential. Last and certainly not least you got to have attitude. You can be a very girly girl with long hair, short hair or no hair. The thing that makes me proud to be without hair for a period of time, is knowing that when it was buzzed off, it went to Locks of Love. If I don't send it to them, it goes to Wigs for Kids. I've done this for seven years now and plan to continue as long as my hair is suitable for donation.

I would suggest you try a nice pixie cut or crop cut. Both are drastic but you still have hair. Like I said work the attitude with the accessorizing and no one will mistake you for a boy.

Hope this helps.

HEY AB_OVA_HERE,

GLAD YOU WENT THROUGH WITH THE HAIR CUT. I BET IT LOOKS AWESOME

Do wash in wash out hair dyes ruin your hair? ( im 13 if this helps )?

ive got medium length brown hair with short layers, but i would prefer to change my hair colour to make it more intresting. ive been wanting to dye it for a few years now, nd i feel like now is the time to do it. i was thinking about trying some wash in wash out hair dyes but one of my friends said it will ruin my hair. is that true?? also, if i tried to dye it blonde of black, which would work better? and not make my roots look real bad..?

Do wash in wash out hair dyes ruin your hair? ( im 13 if this helps )?

Actually there are a lot of semi-permanent hair dyes that will actually help your hair be healthier - henna, manic panic, etc. But other semi-perm colors won't ruin your hair. You can't go lighter, so blonde won't work. And do be careful with it, because the color won't necessarily stick longer than it's supposed to, but it CAN (my friend wanted a maroon color for a day to celebrate our school colors and she ended up with a reddish tint for several weeks); so just choose something you can live with for a while.

Also, if you choose to do permanent hair dye, don't be afraid that IT will ruin your hair either. I've been using permanent hair dye since I was your age (I'm 21 now) and although it does dry your hair out, that's what color-shield and moisturizing conditioners are for. I bleach my hair platinum blonde once a month and my hair is doing just fine. Just don't do it more often than once a month with any color; moderation is key.

One more suggestion: If you get nervous about it, there are very subtle dyes that are meant to just kind of ooomph up your natural color. So if you get antsy about a dramatic change, consider just dying it something very close to what you already have. The color will be much richer and it will definitely make a noticeable difference. Sometimes the color you already have can be head-turning!

And remember: hair grows back. There's no way to permanently ruin all the hair that will ever grow on your head, no matter what crazy stuff you might do with it in your life.

OK and one more thing just to elaborate on what someone above said: Talking to a professional can be a good idea. I don't personally think it's necessary if you're just doing one solid color over your whole head, but if you're thinking about highlights or anything like that, definitely DO NOT do it yourself. My hair is blonde, as I said, but it has a chunk of black in the front, and it's taken me years to get into the swing of doing it myself the right way. But even for someone who's been doing it for years, the last time I renewed my colors, I ended up with a head full of grey hair. It was terrifying. My friend ended up telling me how to mix my own color and get my blonde back, but the ten hours in between were maybe the most stress I've ever had. Moral of the story: DO NOT do two or more colors on your own. Stick to one for now! Hair coloring is a lot of fun to do but if you're going to get crazy ideas, pay for someone else to do it until you really get the hang of it!

Do wash in wash out hair dyes ruin your hair? ( im 13 if this helps )?

you can only go darker with wash-in hair dyes but be careful! if you have to mix two bottles together to get your color(in one box) you are creating a chemical reaction and may not be able to go back to your natural color

Do wash in wash out hair dyes ruin your hair? ( im 13 if this helps )?

wash out hair color won't ruin your hair. Just be sure to use a good conditioner. Level 2 haircolor is what you'll want. Level 3 is a permanent dye. If you have dark hair and you want to change your haircolor to a lighter shade, even if you bought platinum blonde, it wouldn't work to lighten it. You'd have to go to a salon, have them lift the current color out, put in a neutralizer, then use the color you want. If you're talking about funky colors like pink or blue, I do not know how these would work for a level 2 color. Call or go into a local salon to get professional advice before you do anything. I'm sure your hair is lovely. They might recommend highlights or something very attractive for your face....good luck!

Do wash in wash out hair dyes ruin your hair? ( im 13 if this helps )?

I've been told a "rinse" doesn't and I put a 'red' rinse through my hair when i was about your age. I swore that ever since I did I had a mahogany tinge to my hair.

Most likely it was coincidental and i just had it naturally like a lot of brunettes!

Maybe ring and ask the hairdressers.

Dry hair in my bangs?

I have normal thick hair all around my head. But when it comes to my bangs, there's a layer of soft hair but under it on my hair line there's this small patch of dry/brittle hair. I cut it to regrow it but every time it comes back the same way. I always hide it under my bangs because I'm embarrassed.

I always straighten my hair, but I use heat protection all the time. I use Anti-breakage/anti-split end shampoo and conditioner by Tresemme. And the heat protection is by the same product.

How do I get rid of this problem?

Dry hair in my bangs?

every sun and sat put olive oil in ur hair

Weird issues with pulling at scalp hair?

I know it sounds terrible and I'm just weird, but for the past several years (I'm 24) I've been enjoying pulling some hair out from my scalp and eyebrows. I've read about this online, as a hair-pulling disease known as trichotillomania. With my thick long hair the outer layer covers parts where I plucked, but I always resorted to eyebrow pencils to cover up half or fully empty eyebrows. As hard as it was, I've gotten to the point where I never pluck eyebrow hair anymore but still enjoy plucking from close to my scalp. I have been to psychiatrists/counselors before for other issues but they're expensive, plus I don't associate my hair pulling with any sort of mental disturbance/stress/anxiety. Its just that I like the feeling of my scalp being able to "breathe" rather than being smothered with too much hair. This is really weird, right? My parents know about this habit of mine and are always proud when I improve...they give me stress balls but I just need to stop. Any other ideas?

Weird issues with pulling at scalp hair?

well i have the same problem. ive done the same thing for 7 years, and im almost 16. i myself have gone to a therapist but they wanted 30 dollars per 50 minute sessions. that was wayyyy too expensive! honestly, i havent given up pulling because i like how it feels, but i dont like when people notice. i pulled out all of my eyelashes and from then on, i was known as "the girl with no eyelashes" for quite a long time. its sad, yes, but i stopped after that. i was so scared about being a called a freak that i stopped. i haven pulled my eyelashes sense, and that was last year!! i still pull from other areas that i think are ok not to have hair. i know i can stop, i just dont want to. strange huh??

Weird issues with pulling at scalp hair?

I am 21 years old and I'm going through the same thing so I know exactly how you feel! I have it really bad! Report It

Weird issues with pulling at scalp hair?

Wow finally someone else has the same problem as my wife, only difference is she has gotten to the point where she has very few hairs left in her eyebrows. How she came to know it was a real problem was one day she was watching OPRAH and she did a show on the disease. There was some people on her show that had huge bald spots in their head from this. They said (and my wife's counselor and psychologist agree) that is a form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I honestly never knew it was a real problem that more people had (other than my wife) till she made me watch the show. Luckily for my wife, she has thick hair and you can't tell she does it to her hair, except when it goes to re-grow in her crown area, the hairs stick upward; but unfortunatly people (especially strangers) always come up to her asking her why she has no eyebrows (or very little). They are still doing studies about this disease. There is a good website to check out, in which I will enclose in my sources, that can lead you to some good information! Maybe you can even order OPRAH's transcripts on her show, however it was a couple of years ago, but it was an excellent and very imformative show (even if you don't care for OPRAH) Good Luck!

Weird issues with pulling at scalp hair?

I do the very same thing but not the eyebrow thing. I play with my hair when it is down but if it is pulled back I pull at it from the temple area. I now have an almost receding hairline in that area (mostly on the right) whereas I have pretty thick hair. I didn't realize until I saw your question that there was actually a medical name for what I do. Now I'm scared because I just thought it was a nervous habit from fidgeting, etc.

Weird issues with pulling at scalp hair?

Hi, i have heard about this, there was once a women in ITV good morning talking about it. I dont really know how to help, you should i think go to therapist with this, because it is associated with some problem which you might not see. or . maybe, why dont you then have a very short hair cut, if you are saying you enjoy feeling of your scalp being able to breathe.

Weird issues with pulling at scalp hair?

I had the same problem. When I was in the 5th grade, I started pulling my hair out. I went and saw a doctor but she said that it was stress related. I noticed it wasn't, it was when I was bored now. What I've done is limited myself little by little. I said to myself right when I woke up, only pull 5 strands today. And then suddenly I was just disgusted with myself doing it, and I haven't pulled for about a month or two now. Im a freshman in high school. and i look back at old pictures and it makes me sick to my stomach that i could do that to myself. try that method. just talking to yourself and limiting yourself til you get sick of it. Good luck!

Need some styling tips for semi-waving hair!!?

I have semi-waving hair and i use my hair straightener a lot but i get a lot of split ends using it so i wanted to stop using my straightener so much. I have three long layers in my hair and the top two layers are waving and my longer layer is straight if i let my hair air dry. My question is does anyone know any good techniques i can use to create nice curls or waves without using any heating products(i.e. curling irons, straighteners, etc.)???

Need some styling tips for semi-waving hair!!?

What looks great is when you get out of the shower towel dry your hair, and brush iit out. Then put your hair in about 3 braids. Use more braids for smaller wavys and less braids for bigger waves. Then sleep with your hair in the braids, then in the morning take your hair out of the braids. But, DO NOT brush it out or it will be frizzy. Just shake the waves a little bit then add some hair spray and ta daaa=]

Need some styling tips for semi-waving hair!!?

try plaiting ur hair the night before so you get nice waves the next morning, or try using velcro rollers ? but not sure u might need to use the hairdryer... and u could try twisting ur hair in a bun, then wait for a bit then take it out and mist a bit of hairspray on it... oh yeah u might wanna put some mousse or curling cream on it... if uve got wavy hair, you could put curling cream/gel on ur hair, then use a diffuser to dry ur hair...

u could also try twisting ur hair into "ropes"and then leaving to dry?

Quick! Should I get my hair cut with or without layers?

Currently:

My hair is... wavy, shorter it gets the more waves/curls. Thick. Past shoulders, upper back. Gets poofy a LOT.

My face is ovalish shaped.

I don't really want anything that requires much maintenance. (Gels, and constant cutting ect ect.)

I like to put my hair into a pony tail. (Mostly because my hair poofs everytime I go outside.)

I want to get it cut to shoulder length, and thinned. But should I get layers or not?

Quick! Should I get my hair cut with or without layers?

Definitely layers

Quick! Should I get my hair cut with or without layers?

Without layers you don't want to look like you are still living in the 70's

Quick! Should I get my hair cut with or without layers?

with if short, without if long

Quick! Should I get my hair cut with or without layers?

I like layers ...you can do so much with your hair with layers ....

Just my thoughts ~~

Also, ask your hairdresser and see what they think ....

Quick! Should I get my hair cut with or without layers?

Without, they become a real pain when they start to grow out.

Quick! Should I get my hair cut with or without layers?

thinning hair is layering hair.

long layers with the shortest being able to be pulled back to fit into the ponytail you like to wear.Long layers is best for your type of hair.good luck

Quick! Should I get my hair cut with or without layers?

yes i have the same kind of hair and i got layers and it looks so much better! and also maybe add some front bangs!they look good with wavy hair

Quick! Should I get my hair cut with or without layers?

Get it thinned and have long layers so you can still wear it up.

If you hate it, don't worry it'll grow out in a few months. And you can try the other style.

Quick! Should I get my hair cut with or without layers?

WITH LAYERS!

you will look beautiful, althoe you probably already are beautiful ;)

Quick! Should I get my hair cut with or without layers?

sure

Quick! Should I get my hair cut with or without layers?

if you straighten your hair sometimes, no layers is the way to go. layers can be a real pain when you put it into a ponytail and it looks sort of uneven. hope i helped!

Quick! Should I get my hair cut with or without layers?

With layers and get it thinned I know first hand because I have poofy poofy hair as well.

Quick! Should I get my hair cut with or without layers?

If you like the way your hair dresser has their hair, ask them.

Your hair style should look good on you. The style should match your body.

How much does it cost to highlight/lowlight hair??

Hi, I have hair that is naturally black with about 5% grey. I'm 29, my hair colour is inherited. I've been lightening my hair to brown for the last 10 years. I haven't been colouring my hair in the past 3 to 4 months as I was in my first trimester of pregnancy and now have about 3-inches of regrowth at the roots and mid-brown coloured hair on the lengths of my hair (I have shoulder-length hair that's been layered).

I want to put medium reddish-brown OR light-brown highlights in my hair instead of colouring the whole head one block colour. I enquired my local mobile hairdresser and she said she would charge around 鎷?0 - 鎷?0 for the job (inclusive of travelling cost) as she'd first need to strip my hair of all its existing colours, then perhaps colour it all over with one dark shade, then put in the highlights or lowlights. Is that a reasonable procedure and price? How much would it cost if I visited a salon instead to have this done? Is it necessarily more expensive?

How much does it cost to highlight/lowlight hair??

It depends where you go, but on average I would say around 鎷?5. The price above is definately reasonable. Where i go, it costs more than 鎷?0!

Hope this helps!

What should i do with my hair.?

When i get ready to go to school i always want to have pretty hair. Do you no a cute hair style thats take 5-10 minutes.. I have brown hair and its layers. The layers start from the end of my head to in the middle of my stomach.. im really bored of it.. so do u got any ideas

What should i do with my hair.?

1st of all, i would cut it

What should i do with my hair.?

consider changing up your style with a curling shampoo if you dont already have curls or a straightening shampoo if you dont already have straight hair. Alternate styles and dont stay with one main style. Use new things like bobbie pins and consider cutting your hair if you are truely bored taking a little length off your hair will cut your styling time in half usually and can change things up a bit

What should i do with my hair.?

Cut it to a little bellow your shoulders, get short layers, and curl the ends of you hair outword your a fun, party look!

Also if you don't want to cut it put your hair in buns, half-pony tails, or pony-tails or you could curl it or straighten it!

GOOD LUCK=]

Long blonde hair ???

Im getting my hair with long layers and maybe a side fringe put in to, not quite sure about the fringe part yet? Do you think i should keep my natural blonde? Im not sure what i want to do, i think i want to keep it because i love my blonde hair? Also do long layers look nice?

thankyou comments appreciated xx

Long blonde hair ???

i had lovely long natural blonde hair, but i cut it really short about 18 months ago. i have regreted it ever since. its now just below my shoulders and im liking it again now. don't dye your hair and don't cut it off. layers will look great, if you are gonna get a fringe get a soft one at first to see if you like it, if you do go for the side fringe!!!

hope it looks great whatever you decide.x

Long blonde hair ???

Yes,my hair is similar but ive recently had a blunt fringe cut.Im 28 and now i look about 10 !..so a side fringe may be more suitable

Long blonde hair ???

if you love your hair color then keep it natural unless you want to change it a little by adding highlights. . . and i love long layers you can do so much with long hair, and it looks really pretty when some of it frames your face.

Long blonde hair ???

You sound like you're fishing for compliments!

Long blonde hair ???

I like Long blonde hair sike e

Long blonde hair ???

I love long layers on long hair, I think it looks gorgeous. Keep your blond hair if you like it. Natural hair is always easier to manage.

Long blonde hair ???

Keep your hair blonde. It is better for your health in the long run. Anyays, adios.

Long blonde hair ???

ide say keep your natural hair color, natural is always best = )

Long blonde hair ???

Keep your blonde hair!!

We need as many natural blondes in this country to prove we are not stupid!!!!

Long blonde hair ???

I love NATURAL blonde hair!! Please keep it.

Long blonde hair ???

Long layers would look very pretty. The fringe...I dunno about that. But keep your hair natural. Especially if you like it. My friend has natural blonde hair and it looks very pretty. Unless you want highlights. Then that's no problem. But all that matters is what you think would look best.

Long blonde hair ???

you are lucky to have natural blonde hair, keep it that way, my cousin didnt she dyed hers and now its a mess - so if you like your hair colour, keep it!!

maybe ask your hairdresser for some advice on cutting your hair? my hairdresser gave me tons of advice on my hair, shes ever so good, and now my hair is the best ever , its so gorgeous and i love it

do whats right for you

Long blonde hair ???

I'm 48 and have long curly blond hair. My color is from my stylist but it was natural until the grays came. My curls are natural and my length is down to the middle of my back. I love my blond hair and its true blonds have more fun. I get attention everywhere I go and I am not a bubble head. I am educated and have grand children who love my long locks. I am having it cut this summer, about 12 inches for someone to use for a wig. Hopefully for locks of love. I did color my hair brown once and I cried.. quickly I went back to blond. I have no layers its all one length. I can do alot with it.

Having trouble dying my hair?

I used to have the underneath layer of my hair green, and it was dyed with a semi permanent dye, that ended up staying for a LONG time without fading

I recently dyed my hair light brown, but it hardly covered the green, i waited a bit and re-dyed it, but the green still shows

is there anything i can do, other than bleach the lower layer, so that i can dye my hair without the green showing, or is there a good brand of dye that i should use

Having trouble dying my hair?

If you absolutely don't want to bleach or strip your hair you are going to have to dye it with a "dark brown". Not black though! (the cheapest kind you can find in the store is about $3 a box...revlon)

The dark brown should cover the green and then you can dye a light brown over it and it will work that way...If you go black though the light brown will make it reddish orangeish. You only need to use the cheap Revlon dye!

Having trouble dying my hair?

honestly i would leave this hair coloring situation up to a hairstylist

Having trouble dying my hair?

i wud jst go ahead and bleach it!

Having trouble dying my hair?

Just use a rinse your natural color, and let it grow out...

Having trouble dying my hair?

just use a haircolor remover kit and start fresh otherwise anything you do will come out muted.

Having trouble dying my hair?

ur gonna have 2 bleach it out. though there is this stuff at sally's that removes color. i can not remember exactly what it is called.

Having trouble dying my hair?

the only thing i can think of without getting it bleached first is to either go to a specialist or dye it black. doode.ur screwed.

Having trouble dying my hair?

you need to bleach the green it will only take a few mins then you need to put some pigment in what was the green like a red colour then dye it all brown

Why can't I comb through my hair?

I have fine, dark blonde hair that is layered only in the back. I can comb through my hair on the sides and in front without any problems, but it is almost impossible to comb through my hair in the back. I try to detangle my hair in the back with my fingers, and even after I get most of the tangles I feel with my fingers out, I still can't comb through my hair. I have no clue what to do about this and i've tried everything I know. Information and advice is appreciated.

Why can't I comb through my hair?

you probably have a big knott you cant see at the back

Why can't I comb through my hair?

soak your hair with olive oil for an hour.with a warm towel wrapped around your head it should condition it good.

you might want to try a leave in conditioner like Infusium 23

Why can't I comb through my hair?

You probably need an extra wide tooth comb for the back of your hair.

How to get hair with more texture like zac efron?

i have dark brown hair bangs to my eyes hair down to my ears and a little bit longer than that in the back, and i want more texture in my hair, i have layers already but i need products! i dont want any stiffness what so ever! i've been looking into the redken productions and i was intrested in this product

http://www.redken.com/products/displayPr...

i also blow dry my hair in the morning to control frizz

so please help! i want the surfer hair look

How to get hair with more texture like zac efron?

Health of your hair depends up on your physical and psychological health. If both are perfect then go for natural herbs like Ritha, Amla, Bringraj, Aloe Vera, etc. and use these herbs in Coconut or Sesame oil.

Washing your hair twice in a week, using herbal shampoo and Luke warm water, is good to clean environmental dirt deposits in hair.

Then hair conditioner-mild-on little moist hair, is best to give volume. Do combing with big tooth comb.

Also most important is that you love your hair and imagine that you are possessing the best kind of long and thick hair.

AT THE TOP, DO NOT BE IMPATIENT FOR IMPROVEMENT. LET THE GROWTH TAKE ITS OWN TIME.

DO NOT WORRY AT ALL EVEN IF YOUR PROGRESS IS SLOW. NOTHING CAN BE ACHIEVED OVERNIGHT.

Hope this will improve quality of your hair.

How to get hair with more texture like zac efron?

Fabricate by redken is an excellent product!! Not a very heavy hold, so you won't get too much stiffness! Give it a try, I love redken and its the only thing we use in our salon! Good luck!

My long hair is a dredlock disaster! help!?

My hair is very long and I have dyed it but it wasnt that that did the damage. It was the bleach that was put into it ONCE in the under layers on my hair. If i dont brush my hair it goes into dredlocks especially in the morning. I have been using pantene for about 2 months and people have been telling me its really bad on my hair. What shampoo could I use to maintain my hair? I need something that cleanses, moisturises and detangled really good. My hair is long, straight and black but touching or brushing it is like brushing your hands through a hedge. What could I do to prevent it from tangling? Brands, methods ANYTHING HELLLPPP

My long hair is a dredlock disaster! help!?

1) Get a hair cut. Even if it's just a trim. Hair is WAY easier to handel when its shorter.

2) But a moisturising shampoo and conditioner. Try all sorts, dont just SETTLE for one. They all do different things.

3) Make sure you leave conditioner in for 5 mins. It helps.

4) Wash every 2-4 days.

5) Get a good paddle brush. They brush out tangles REALLY easily.

6) Also, make sure your hair is brushed and dry before you go to sleep. Hair tangles more easily when it's wet, so dont sleep in wet hair.

Hope I helped.

My long hair is a dredlock disaster! help!?

well to start with your hair needs a really good cut so have severel inches cut of it. Once you have done that try using reallydeep condintioners and hair masks after washing. for shmpoo i reccomend charles worthington its really nice and they all smell gorgeous. hope i help. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!xxx

I need some help on finding a perfect layered haircut?

I'm dying my hair in 3 days platinum blonde on top and hot pink on the bottom and I wanna get my hair cut in layers to, I already basically have layers but i want something different. Please post pics and stuff for me, thank you.

I need some help on finding a perfect layered haircut?

I cut my own hair and it is layered. I get so many compliments and I'm always asked what salon I go to. I just:

1. Lean forward

2. Brush hair neatly (don't leave any out) into a pony tail at the front of my head, at the top and in the middle of my forehead

3. Hold hair firmly at the end of the pony tail and cut straight across.

4. Take out your hairband and flick hair back

5. Brush or style, it's that simple!

or if you want to cut your hair shorter than that, something like this...

Wavy hair??

okay so my hair is like super straight!! I have layers and my hair is kinda thick like its a little thicker than mary kate and ashley Olsen's hair. so what my question is is how do i get my hair to be wavy like mary kate and ashley's hair in new york minute??

http://www.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0363282/S...

thanks

Wavy hair??

Really it is relaxed curls. Curl it in big curls and put hair spray in it.

Wavy hair??

talk to ya hairdresser all i had to do was get a "curly perm"

Wavy hair??

When it is wet put "Garnier Fructis -Curl %26amp; Shine -Leave-in Conditioner" in and then a Mousse(I like Suave Mousse) and/or a Gel (I like Dove Gel). Srunch your hair, flip your head upside down and srunch it. Let dry on it's own or blow dry. It should put a wavy to your hair if it's layered. If this doesn't work there are shampoo/conditioners you can buy to put wave to your hair..then do what i wrote above after using the shampoo/conditioners.

African American Hair Care..seeking body and shine?

My hair rests right above my shoulders (bob-like style with very slight layering). My natural hair type is 4A, but I get relaxer touch-up every 10 to 12 weeks.

My hair care regimen is as follows:

- Wash/condition once wkly (religiously!!!). On average, I go to the salon weekly, but I have to wash myself when my stylist is not available.

- Rollerwrap for styling

- Wrap in silk scarf nightly

- If I need a little moisturizer, I use Jane Carter Solution Nourish %26amp; Shine. (I HATE greasy hair!!!)

My problem is that when I wash my hair at home, although I have body, it is very dry and dull looking. I cannot duplicate the shine I get from the salon. I use salon recommended shampoo/conditioner. I sit under my hooded dryer (when I have to wash it myself) and run a ceramic iron thru it mabye a 3 - 4 times a month. So I do not think I am using too much heat or doing anything damaging.

Any suggestions/feedback on how to obtain shiny, healthy hair at home?

African American Hair Care..seeking body and shine?

Make sure you are using a good heat protectant (I like Redken heat glide or Aveda Brilliant universal style cream) Try not to use cone based products, these seem to work after the first few times you use them, but in reality the cones are zaping moisture from your hair, as all cones do is sit on the top layer of hair they dont penetrate the hair shaft, this is what gives hair the dry look overtime. Rollersets are pretty and in some instances better than flatironing the hair.

. Bounce, body, and sheen!

Heat protectants seal in the moisture to your hair. Use them when blowdrying and again when flat ironing.

African American Hair Care..seeking body and shine?

Doo Gro Triples Strenght Anti-Brekage Growth Lotion is great it helps promotes strong, healthy, growing hair.Helps protect hair from the damaging effects of heated appliance while leaving hair with beautiful softness giving it natural shine.

African American Hair Care..seeking body and shine?

ok same here i hate greassy hair too,i have voulme and body and shine ok this is what i do and use

i wash my hair once a week: i use

tresemme moisture rich set/shampoo %26amp; condiniter

tresemme heat tamer to help with flat rion (the best)

and i use pantene sheer voulme hairspray i can get up to 5

in in height with this hairspray

garnier glossing spray to give my carzy shine!! xx

and ganier hairsprays as well

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

so i have medium/long curly hair

i want to have side swept bangs and layers because i feel like my think hair all one layer is ugly and makes me look odd.

i'm afraid i won't be able to manage bangs unless i straighten them and that too would look odd. what do i do?

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

that's wat i did because i have really curly hair too and i got bangs and i straighten them every morning it looks really

good too so i think that u should do it and if you cant straighten it

then leave it curly and clip it on to a side hope this helps best of luck

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

I have curly hair with like a little longer then shoulder length and i wanted to get side layered bangs also, but im going to be straightening them, if i dont then just put them back with a bobby pin. having curly hair and then side bangs doesnt look odd. Report It

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

:)

i had the same problem, but you know

if you wash ur hair, pass the blow dryer for a few minutes

to ur bangs %26amp; then you put hairspray. not to much but not to little

leave it, and next morning your bangs will be straight

and will stay that way untill you wash ur hair again Report It

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

leave it the way it is.. it probably doesnt look that bad

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

oooooohhhh get straight bangs!! that'll be cool.

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

sway bangs would look cute you should go for it

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

Unless you're committed to straightening your bangs every day (and dealing with rain and humidity that will curl them again) you should stick with long layers in your curly hair.

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

don't to it, find a hair dresser who specializes in curly hair and she can layer it so it won't frizz. the bangs could be parted down the side and blended with the curls if cut properly. you will never have side swept bangs unless you flat iron your whole head.

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

Curly hair with bangs doesn't look that good unless you straighten it. If your hair is all one length, just get layers.

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

you should get layered hair, because I have curly hair and have layers, it looks great! but the bangs,it depends on you. will it look good on u? if yes, then get them, if no, dont get them.

Good luck! ^_^

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

Don't do it unless you have the time and commitment of straightening them every single day... which would be really damaging and wouldn't match curly hair too well! It's a cute style but it's not meant for all hairtypes (including mine lol) :( Just stick with the long layers for now...

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

Don't because my daughter has the same hair and she screwed it up by cutting it into bangs.Long is sexy and romantic and makes you look more femine.%26lt;spelled that wrong.Long wavy hair also you can do more ask a stylist.

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

if you have a round face, do not get straight across bangs. that makes you look like a little kid. Go into a salon, tell them what they want. Be sure to tell them exactly what you what. If they suggest something, ask to see a picture of it. If you want a quick fix, part your hair on the side to give it a new look. It may be closer to the look you want than you think.

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

I have extrememly curly hair and have the side bangs. You do have to straighten them, unless they are on the longer side for when you go curly. I straighten my hair everyday so I obviuously just manage it like that. I dont look odd when i just straighten my bangs and leave the rest wavy or curly. Good luck :) take a chance, why not, its hair it will grow back

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

Straighten your hair, thats what my mom did and it looks awesome.

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

do it. i have side swept bangs and i keep my natural curls but i flat iron my bangs. it looks good

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

Try straightening just the bangs and tuck the ends behind the ear, that should give you an idea of what it would look like...before you make it permanent!

I have curly hair and have really wanted bangs due to a high forehead. I ALWAYS regret it. I don't know what haute couture is with hair right now, but it never looks right (at least on me) to have straight bangs.

I do recommend layers.

I read a book called "Curly Girl", I don't recall by whom. You should check it out. It says to find a hair cutter who knows how to cut curly hair (usually one that has curly hair herself). She also has a great deal of advice on the proper care of curly hair. I used to hate my curly hair and straightened it for everything (a 45 min job since my hair is past my mid back). Now I love it.

I've also heard that you can spend a lot on a hair cut twice a year, and one of those cheaper places should be able to maintain it between cuts. (If you can't afford a fancy one.)

Good Luck

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

I have curly hair and I love my bangs. I straighten them almost everyday and it only takes a couple of minutes. It gives my hair a little more dimension so it doesn't look like it is just "there".

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

Yeah, you would probably have to straighten them, and you need to consider if you would want to do that everyday. You might want to just consider getting an angle in the front, so its shorter but not as short as bangs. Layering is also a great idea, it helps so much.

CURLY HAIR- wants bangs.?

Bangs and curly hair don't mix.
