How would I dye hair in layers with three shades dark on bott. up to lighter color.?

not sure which color to start with, are each done seperately? Do I foil to keep colors from bleeding over.

dye entire hair with a short period of time then cover what you want to remain the lightest and dye the rest again with a bit longer time--continue the process until you reach the desired effect

Ahh I dont know, I would reccomend getting it done at a salon.

I actually just got my hair done similarly. It's really dark on the bottom, and then blends into a blond color on top. I had it done at a salon, but what she did was section my hair in half pretty much. The bottom half, she did all dark. (And she put it in foils) Then, on the top, she alternated between the blonde and the dark. She foiled these as well. This way it wasn't too "bold" of a color change. I LOVE it.

If you're going to try to do it yourself, you should go to a Sally Beauty Supply. They'll tell you exactly how to do it and even help you pick out the colors. You can go to Sallybeauty.com and check out if theres a store near you. A friend of mine does he own hair by going there and it looks just like she got it professionally done, only not as expensive.

But yeah, definitely start with the hair underneath as one section if you want that darker. Then, take your top hair and section it-- a section on either side, the top (around your part), and in the back. I'd do each section at a time, so it might be a little easier for you so you dont get all jumbled.

Good luck, hope you like it!
