i have long red hair that i usually straighten. if i curl or crimp it, it gets too poofy. im only 13, so my mom says im too young to get highlights. btw, i have layers in my hair and grown out bangs. HELP!!

Cut it short. It will be easier and much cuter. Try a bob then it wont poof! or try leave in conditioner

you can either put it up in a high messy bun or you can put like half of it up with a hair clip over the tie.

Try adding hair accesories like cute headbands or clips.

you can straighten your hair and since you have layers...i would say you tease your hair if you want something new. if you dont know how to just go to youtube and search teasing hair videos.

BTW i have layers to! My fav look that everyone says looks cute is when i curl the end part of every layer so it pops outward. then to make it look cuter i put a sparkly headband!

Leave in conditioner will help tame the poofyness. I think curls are so lovely! They are something that a girl with straight hair can't accomplish unless she perms. You're special! So, be proud, don't straighten all the time, and use the different taming conditioners and products that control the poof and add some healthy shine.
