Curls dont stay in my hair?

curls dont seem to hold in my hair so i never curl my hair. for a wedding, im thinking of using a waver to wave only the top layer of my hair [or two top layers] only becaues my hair is SOOO thick and it will take me FOREVER. anything i can use in my hair to make the waves stay ? besides hairspray , im using that FOR SURE. tips / advice ? do you think my hair will look bad if only two top layers is waved and the bottom layers of my hair is straight ?

Curl your hair, and use hairspray, mousse, gel, everything. They even have products out that make your hair curly. Curl booster I think...

No just be sure to curl the ends.

When you curl your hair is it 100% dry? When I got my hair done for my bridal portraits, the stylist told me not to wash my hair that same day. Any moisture in your hair will cause the curls to fall. Even if it feels dry, your hair might be wet "inside".

I also have think hair and my problem is the weight of my hair causes the curls to fall out almost instantly.

Curls don't stay in my hair either. Wear curlers to bed and hairspray them before you go to bed. When you take them out in the morning, use your fingers to split each curl into two or three parts. Make sure you brush your hair before you put the curlers in. Use more spray after. Also, if you think it's going to be rainy or humid, don't attempt!

When I want my curls to stay, I use mousse in my hair before I dry it. Next, I use hot rollers because they work the best on my hair. Make sure they are hot when you put them in and allow them to cool off completely before you take them out (for me this usually take 30 minutes or so, the longer the better). When I take out the curlers, I separate each curl with my fingers one roller at a time. I spray each curl with hairspray before moving on to the next curler. At the end, my hair usually looks pretty curly, but after a little while the curls relax a little and it looks very feminine and wavy.

As for the partially waved hair, I would put waves all over. If you are getting it done professionally, I'm sure your stylist will know what looks best. Another idea is to do a half-updo. Put half of your hair in an updo and leave the rest down and wavy. This always looked good on my friends with very thick hair.
